Savvy Guy Vegetarian Chili

Quality ingredients and Excellent flavor.

It’s time to elevate your Chili experience

Where It all began

Early on, one of my favorite go to crowd pleasers was my chili. Whether we were watching football at the house, feeding masses of friends up at the lake, or having a home cooked meal after work, it was my chili that stole the show. Savvy Guy Vegetarian Chili is the result of years of preparation and fine tuning. We firmly believe that great ingredients are the key to our quality product. We use quality vegetables you can see and feel in each bite. Now while this is a vegetarian option, proteins like ground beef, pork sausage, or even wild game can be added, we recommend sauteing a 1/2 pound per jar. My personal favorite is a combination of Angus beef and hot Italian sausage. Is it spicy? Savvy Guy is not too spicy but does start with a good level of heat, which leaves room to increase the spice to your liking. I assure you my chili has yet to disappoint and my hope is that the phrase “Let’s have Savvy Guy” becomes a staple in your home!

Savvy Guy Original Marinara

This Authentic sauce will complete your favorite pasta dishes also it is great for dipping your appetizers

and then there were two

When buying pre-made sauces I found that most sauces out there need to be doctored up to reach the flavor profile you demand from your homemade sauce. I wanted to create a sauce that once heated up at your home not much else had to be added except maybe your favorite protein. That being said I wanted it to be versatile enough to use for any recipe. With chopped tomatoes and an authentic spice blend and minced black olives. Savvy Guy Original Marinara Sauce compliments all pasta, doubles as a tasty pizza sauce also great for dipping your favorite appetizers. For dinner or pre-game. With its old world flavor Savvy Guy Original Marinara will complete your favorite Italian dishes.

Let’s Spice things up a bit

In the Early 90’s I was on a job in Mississauga, Ontario just outside of Toronto and there were four choices for lunch. Mr. Sub, Baileys, The Steak House and an Italian Ristorante in a strip mall. It was rare but once and a while I would convince the guys to lay off the subs and salad buffet and get to go to the Italian restaurant, Wow! what a treat. I would always order the linguini in red clam sauce or the mother of all Frutti Di Mare with mussels, shrimp, clams and fish all in this Rocking spicy red sauce/broth over linguini. My mouth waters just thinking about it. That’s what I tried to create, something memorable because if you are going to spend the time and money to get all of those tasty and not so cheap ingredients to prepare a dinner for your friends and family, the sauce you choose better be up for the challenge.

Savvy Guy Sweet and Sour Thai Sauce

With a great Thai spice and the right amount of sweet, Transport your taste buds to Bangkok in minutes

How about we Thai one On

I am embarrassed to admit that I hadn’t had Thai Food until I had my first house and was working in the Troy, Michigan area. I mean I have one excuse, where I grew up from 7th to 12th grade there wasn’t a lot of ethnic food, other than Polish and German. That all changed when we moved back down to the suburbs of the “D” so back to the first time. Do you ever forget your first?  Dwayne from work asked if I wanted Thai and I had to say I never had it before, after the instant shock followed pride in the fact that he was going to get me my first Thai lunch. I got a green curry with chicken medium heat. I was never the same. After a few repeats of the green I ventured out for Pad Ped and of course Pad Thai followed by Pad Pre Wan AKA Sweet and Sour. I had to offer a Sweet and Sour Thai Sauce to show my love and respect for all of the great Thai chefs out there. Detroit has a great Thai food scene. You would be surprised of all the Thai Restaurants that I have found from Louisville, KY. to Dublin, Ireland and had the pleasure to sample from. Enjoy!!
